Training Student Union Presidents on Digital Income Skills – Jigawa State

As part of our commitment to youth empowerment and digital literacy, SMAPDA organized a special training session for Student Union Government (SUG) Presidents from all higher institutions across Jigawa State.
The goal of this training was to equip these student leaders with practical online income skills so they can, in turn, educate and empower their fellow students on how to earn through digital platforms.
By promoting online opportunities such as freelancing, content creation, digital marketing, and e-commerce, we aim to:
- Reduce youth unemployment
- Minimize idle time that often leads to social vices
- Improve the local economy
- Protect and empower young women by providing them with skills and direction
SMAPDA believes that when student leaders are empowered with the right tools, they can become agents of positive change within their campuses and beyond. This is one of many steps we are taking to build a more skilled, productive, and self-reliant generation in Northern Nigeria.
